Reason for Arsenal vs Lens Predictions

Arsenal can confirm their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League. They top the group by four points and host Lens who are third. If they simply avoid defeat Arsenal will progress and a win will ensure they qualify as group winners. So far, they have won three out of four games in the group. The second is a 2:1 away loss to Leno, and if they had a 0:1 advantage. The weekend also went well for Arsenal with a 1-0 win over Brentford taking them top of the Premier League. Home form is strong with both of their Champions League wins so far. Overall, they have won their last four games at the Emirates with 13 goals scored and only one conceded. Bukayo Saka shows his talent and should be one of the leading players in the future. Gabriel Martinelli showed why he was brought in. He has good dribbling, speed is his advantage, he is the starter in every game, and he scored several important goals last season. Emile Smith Rowe (Knee injury), Jurrien Timber (cruciate ligament tear) and Thomas Partey (Hamstring injury) won’t be able to feature for Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta.

Lens are only behind second-placed PSV on head-to-head results. They both have five points but the French side only earned one point from their two games against PSV. The only group win they had so far was the home victory over Arsenal. On the road, Lens have drawn at Sevilla and lost to PSV with only one goal being scored. The weekend went well for Lens too with a 3-0 win at Clermont. After a slow start to the season, they are now sixth in Ligue 1. Away form is still not good though and that weekend win ended a run of three games without a win and no goals scored. Adrien Thomasson plays well in the middle of the park, and he does not allow the opponent much action. Elye Wahi plays excellently, he is fast in the one-on-one game, and he is unstoppable. RC Lens boss Franck Haise has a number of players out of action. Deiver Machado (Adductor pain), Óscar Cortés (Shin injury) and Jimmy Cabot (Cruciate ligament tear) will miss out on this game.

Conclusion

Arsenal is a big favorite in this match, and they are expected to solve the question of the winner at halftime.

The prediction for this match is over 2.5 goals.
