Reason for Juventus vs Benfica Predictions

Juventus dropped more points domestically at the weekend in a hugely controversial draw with Salernitana, and the Old Lady have won just one of their last six fixtures in all competitions overall. Despite their devastating first-round loss against the best contenders, Paris Saint Germain, of the Champions League, Juventus showed great performance in the second half as we expect Allegri to make the necessary adjustments and grab the vital point at least or win against Benfica to climb the ladder. Juventus, with their Italian “old-school” manager, Allegri, likes to defend, especially in the Champions League, to focus on counter-attacks and score. Filip Kostić is a guy who causes a lot of problems to the opponent on the left side. He is fast and unstoppable in a one-on-one game. Moise Kean is a new reinforcement, and this guy is expected to score as many goals as possible. Wojciech Szczesny (Distortion of the ankle), Ángel Di María (Tear in the abductor’s muscle), Paul Pogba (Meniscal Injury), Federico Chiesa (Cruciate Ligament Rupture), and Kaio Jorge (Patella rupture) won’t be available for Juventus coach  Massimiliano Allegri.

Benfica has picked up where they left off in the Champions League last season and offered enough of a threat to Juventus to make backing them at around evens look decidedly dodgy. The Old Lady are still untrustworthy against capable European opposition, and Benfica can probably be classed as such after making it to the quarter-finals of this competition last season. Benfica came second in a group that featured Bayern Munich and Barcelona and knocked Ajax out in the previous 16. Now under the guidance of Roger Schmidt, the Eagles have won all five of their UCL games this term, including the Group H opener against Maccabi Haifa, in a very comfortable fashion. Petar Musa finally shows his proper form and scores important goals. He creates a lot of problems for the opposing defenders. Enzo Fernandez has the right role in the team, he moves great in the middle of the field, and it isn’t easy to take the ball away from this guy. Benfica boss Roger Schmidt has a number of players out of action. João Victor (Ankle Injury) and Morato (Sprained Ankle) miss out here.

Conclusion

It is going to be an exciting clash, as Benfica is not without a chance of remaining undefeated. However, we believe Juventus should meet the expectations and deliver a win.

This will be a big fight between these two rivals, and we should expect a goal from both teams. Football fans should enjoy this match and see at least a goal in each net.
