Reason for Tottenham vs Watford  Predictions

Spurs have won both of their matches, with victories against Wolverhampton Wanderers and last season’s champions Manchester City. Tottenham will be eager to continue their confident opening at home to a newly promoted Watford side, who are sure to be battling hard for every point to stay in the Premier League this season. Spurs have had a surprisingly successful start to the campaign, and the north London side has seemingly resolved some of their defensive inefficiencies of late, keeping both Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers out. Hugo Lloris has been colossal in goal and is proving some of his doubters wrong, while full-backs Japhet Tanganga and Sergio Reguilon have been formidable in the early part of the new season. Kane is pushing for a start, while Nuno Espirito Santo has no fresh injury worries ahead of the visit of Watford. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg plays excellently and does not allow the opponent to play in the middle of the field. Min Son is the engine of this team, his greatest virtue is speed, and he has excellent ball control and can be satisfied with his performance.

Watford has lost their only away fixture of this current campaign – 2-0 at Brighton and Hove Albion – and we suspect it to be a similar story on Sunday afternoon. Their aim this season is to stay in the Premier League, and the Hornets have shown promising signs of doing so at this early stage, already picking up three points with a win over Aston Villa. Watford has returned with the intention of keeping much longer their status in the elite company this time. The win over Aston Villa instilled confidence, but the defeat against Brighton definitely put them back in place. This is an interesting team capable of entering into an equal fight with many in this league. Nathaniel Chalobah has been tested positive for coronavirus, while fellow midfielder Juraj Kucka should be fit for the Spurs game. Oghenekaro Etebo plays well in the middle of the pitch, and he does not allow the opponent much action. Sarr enjoys the field, and when he receives the ball and goes towards the goal, the opponent has problems. He is strong, and it isn’t easy to keep this guy.

Conclusion

It is going to be an exciting clash, as Watford is not without a chance of remaining undefeated. However, we believe Tottenham should meet the expectations and deliver a win.

Tottenham showed improvements in defense, and they might be able to keep the clean sheet here.
