Reason for West Ham vs Olympiacos Predictions
West Ham’s unbeaten run in European competition ended with a 2-1 defeat to Olympiakos in their final group game. The Irons went the whole of last season unbeaten in the Europa Conference League, which they won by beating Fiorentina in the final. They started the group well with a win over who are at the bottom of the group with only one point. Then followed a victory in Freiburg with 2:1, but then followed a defeat with the same result on the road in Greece. After this game, West Ham travel to TSC, and welcome Freiburg on its home field. Lucas Paqueta plays great and does not allow the opponent to play in the middle of the field. Manchester City is interested in the Brazilian international and has offered 80 million to the Hammers. Pablo Fornals is a great player, he creates a lot of problems for his opponents, and the greatest virtue of this guy is speed. The West Ham United manager David Moyes will be grateful not to have any fitness concerns to speak of coming into this clash owing to a completely healthy group to pick from.
Olympiacos are two points behind the qualifying positions so a win for them would really boost their hopes of a top two finish. With a home game against TSC still to be played and a three point lead over them at present, finishing third and being moved into the Europa Conference League are looking good. The Greek side began this group with a 3-2 home loss to Freiburg, conceding a late winner. It was the same story away at TSC and they returned home with a 2-2 draw. Their only group win so far came with that victory over West Ham. Sotiris Alexandropoulos enjoys the pitch, and when he receives the ball and moves towards the goal, the opponent has problems. The bench players are expected to show as much as possible and impose themselves on the coach for the starting lineup. Olympiacos manager Diego Martínez has to choose from a squad that has some fitness concerns. Nicolás Freire (muscular problems) and Doron Leidner (Cruciate ligament tear) miss out here. The players who will not be able to play in this game through being suspended are Giulian Biancone, Ivan Brnic, Doron Leidner and Bandiougou Fadiga.
