Reason for Leicester City vs West Ham Predictions
Despite winning the FA Cup and Community Shield and coming ever so close to a top-four finish in the last two seasons, Brendan Rodgers is under pressure now with his Leicester side underperforming so badly. A 4-1 demolition at Nottingham Forest was a tough one to take for the supporters, against a club they are not very fond of, considering it also came after two huge disappointments in their league games before the international break, where late goals ended up costing them a potential five points against Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton. Despite a number of players now returning from AFCON, Leicester’s injury list still makes for grim viewing. Ryan Bertrand will miss most of the season after knee surgery, as will fellow full-back Timothy Castagne who is also recovering from an operation, while two of their key players from last season, Johnny Evans and Jamie Vardy, will miss another month at least. Youri Tielemans plays well in the middle of the park, and he does not allow the opponent much action. Kelechi Iheanacho enjoys the pitch, and when he receives the ball and goes towards the goal, the opponent has problems. He is strong, and it is challenging to keep this guy.
Spirits are much higher in the West Ham camp, after just about avoiding the humiliation of losing to a sixth-tier side in the FA Cup, they defeated lowly Watford in midweek to jump back into the top four ahead of Manchester United. If they were ever going to break into the Champions League, this would surely be the season to do it, considering how inconsistent the sides around them are and that they have two players who are among the best in their respective positions in the league, in the form of Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen, both of whom may not be here next season. Despite the fury surrounding Kurt Zouma, which has surfaced over the past week, the Frenchman featured for the Hammers in midweek, so it appears West Ham will not make a public condemnation of the player, and he will continue to represent the side. Declan Rice has excellent ball control, he can play in several positions, and every team needs such a player. Jarrod Bowen is also a tremendous player, and in the one-on-one game, he is unstoppable. Much is expected of this guy this season, and he is the future of English football.
Conclusion
It is going to be an exciting clash, as Leicester City is not without a chance of remaining undefeated. However, we believe West Ham should meet the expectations and deliver a win.
The prediction for this match is over 2.5 goals. We hope that football fans will enjoy this match.
