Reason for Manchester United vs Southampton Predictions

Man United started well against Burnley but once more performed for only 45 minutes in a fixture that ended 1-1. The result means that United is unbeaten in four but has won just three of their last seven. Keeping clean sheets is an issue for the Red Devils, who have done this in just one of their previous seven. United have lost the second-half in each of their last two and three of their last five. They won four of their last five in the Premier League at Old Trafford but did only draw with Middlesbrough here in the FA Cup last weekend. Three of the previous five league games here have finished 1-0. Cristiano Ronaldo has three goals from his last five starts at this ground but was on the bench in midweek. The last two home league games have seen no goals before the 80th minute. Jadon Sancho is the engine of this team, he goes through the opponent’s defense like a fast train, has excellent ball control, and the English international can be satisfied with his performance. Scott Mc Tominay found the right role in the team, he moves great in the middle of the field, and it isn’t easy to take the ball away from this guy. Alex Telles (Coronavirus), Eric Bailly (Ankle Injury), and Fred (Coronavirus) will not be able to play for Manchester United gaffer Ralf Rangnick.

Southampton will enter this game full of confidence after twice coming from behind to defeat Tottenham 3-2. It continues their recent run of good form that has seen them lose just one of their last seven Premier League matches. Each of their previous seven in the top flight and nine of ten has seen both teams net. Armando Broja has two goals in his last four, while James Ward-Prowse has two in five. The Saints have won two of their last three on the road, with victories coming at West Ham and Tottenham. James Ward-Prowse has three in his previous four on his travels, while Mo Elyounoussi has two in three away appearances. Six of their last eight away goals have come after the break. James Ward-Prowse plays well in the middle of the park, and he does not allow the opponent much action. Moussa Djenepo enjoys the pitch, and when he receives the ball and moves towards the goal, the opponent has problems.

Conclusion

It will be a big battle between these two teams, and it will not be surprising if the match ends in a draw.

We can also expect a goal in both nets, and neither side should keep the clean sheet.
